Morecambe to Bridlington

May 21st 2016 – Morecambe Sea Front, Lancashire.

A wet and windy Saturday morning saw the beginning of a 175 mile cycle ride from Morecambe in Lancashire to Bridlington in Yorkshire on the east coast of England. The route took in Settle, Ripon, Stamford Bridge and York amongst others.

Sadly, last December Tytherington lost one of its former teachers, Jo Adamson to Cancer. Jo was a much liked and respected member of staff, who loved teaching and had a real passion for her subject of Drama. The coast to coast ride was conceived as a way to raise money in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support, an organisation which does fantastic work for people living with Cancer.

So after dipping a toe in the Irish and North Seas, along with a few steep hills, over £800 was raised in memory of an amazing teacher, colleague and friend.
