This course is equivalent to 1 A Level and will be studied alongside 2 additional A Level (or equivalent) subjects. Health and Social care is an ideal course for those who wish to pursue a career in the Health Care or Social Care sectors. There are more than 300 distinct career paths in this sector which is a major employer, employing almost four million people across the UK.

There is a high percentage of internally assessed coursework, which may appeal to students who prefer a more continuous approach to assessment. The external assessments may be in the form of a written examination, but may also be a set task which is completed during a defined window.
