Who do I contact at Tytherington?
Effective communication and a collaborative working relationship between school and parents is vital to ensuring the best possible outcomes for your child. The information below provides an overview of the key staff who work within our wider Pastoral Team.
Other key contacts who work within and alongside the wider pastoral team are, Miss Roe (AHT – Director of Sixth Form), Mrs Pugh (DHT – KS3 Curriculum Lead) and Mr Pepper (DHT – Safeguarding, Behaviour and Attendance).
You should make direct contact with your child’s HOY if you or your child are concerned about their progress in school.
The HOY will either deal with the concern directly or put you in contact with the relevant member of staff i.e. Head of Department if it is a subject related concern, or signpost you to the relevant department i.e. Safeguarding, SEN etc.
If you are unsure which department to contact, please make contact with your child’s head of year in the first instance.

Our student services team (alongside Heads of Year) are responsible for student attendance. You should contact the student services team to notify them of your child’s absence. The Student Services Team will also deal with general queries and can assist with signposting you to the correct department.

Our Safeguarding Team is made up of Mrs Shatwell (Designated Safeguarding Lead), Mr Pepper (Designated Safeguarding Lead) and Miss Wood (Safeguarding Practitioner). Our safeguarding team work closely with HOY and the SEND Department. You should contact our safeguarding team directly if you have a serious safeguarding concern.

The SEND Department includes a large number of staff. As SENDCo, Mrs Healey holds overall responsibility for the SEND Department and is the schools mental health lead teacher. Any SEND related or well being queries can be made using the email addresses identified below.
