We are incredibly proud of the GCSE Class of 2026 and everything they have achieved during their time at Tytherington.
These students have worked incredibly hard over the past five years and have shown real grit, resilience and determination. Today is an opportunity to celebrate their achievements and the progress they have made.
Mr Botwe, Headteacher, said: “A huge well done to the GCSE Class of 2026! We are incredibly proud of what our students have achieved. These results reflect a great deal of hard work, grit and determination from our young people, alongside the tremendous support they have received from staff and families throughout their time at Tytherington.
Following our excellent A Level results last week, it is wonderful to see our Year 11 students celebrating their own successes today. We are delighted for them and excited to see what they go on to achieve next.”
There are so many students we could single out for praise, but we would like to highlight a number who exemplify the achievement, character and contribution of the entire year group:
- Daisy Foley has achieved an exceptional set of GCSE results, including seven Grade 9s. Alongside her academic success, Daisy has made a huge contribution to the wider life of the school, including taking part in numerous drama productions. She has also represented Cheshire East in the Youth Parliament and spoken in the House of Commons.
- Ash Radmall has achieved an outstanding full set of Grade 9s in every subject taken, alongside making a significant contribution to clubs and societies across the school.
- Luke Beardmore, who also did a brilliant job DJ-ing at the Year 11 Prom and getting everyone onto the dance floor, has achieved a fantastic set of results and an extremely strong positive progress score.
- Elyse Chai, Sureya Morgan, Megan Radmall, Madeleine Buckley, Nathan Coombes, Aisha McKeever-Abbas, Beatrice Worrell, Mohamed Yousif, Amelia Smith and Lily Stringer have all achieved fantastic results while also making significant contributions to the wider life of the school throughout Key Stages 3 and 4.
We also want to recognise the many students within this year group who have overcome significant personal challenges during their time at Tytherington. We will not name them individually, but their stories of resilience, perseverance and determination are every bit as worthy of celebration. We are immensely proud of what they have achieved.
Miss Linaker, Head of Year 11, and Mr Pilbury, Deputy Headteacher, also expressed their pride in the Class of 2026.
Mr Pilbury said: “We are thrilled with what the Class of 2026 have achieved and, just as importantly, with the young people they have grown to become. The achievements of this year group extend far beyond examination results. Throughout their time at Tytherington, they have made fantastic contributions to the performing arts, sport and the wider life of the school. Their talent, commitment and positive attitude have been a real feature of this cohort. We are incredibly proud of them and look forward to seeing them flourish as they take their next steps.”
