Dear Families,
I hope you are well. I’m really sorry that we have not been able to open up to students this week. There was a great deal planned for this week including welcoming back our Year 13 Class of 2024 for their Certificate Evening. They achieved exceptional A-Level grades in the summer which were amongst the very best in the region. We were also due to host our Year 9 GCSE Guided Choices Evening on Thursday. Our Year 11 students were also set to visit the Lowry theatre to watch a production of an Inspector Calls. A huge well done to the small group of Sixth Formers who have been in school this week completing their Business Public Examinations.
Whilst it is a shame that these events could not take place this week, the good news is that we will be able to reschedule all of these events in due course. Furthermore, we’ve got a cracking week planned for students when they return next week. Electives will be back on, we will be welcoming a group of Year 6 Mathematicians for a masterclass, our after school extra-curricular programme (weather permitting) will be up and running and we have some sporting fixtures pencilled in. Good luck to the Year 11s who start their mocks next week.
