Headteacher’s Notes 20th September
Dear Families,
I hope you are well. Thank you for giving up your time to read this week’s edition of Headteacher’s Notes. The school is completely back to normal after the excitement of last Friday. North West Electricity have identified the fault which resulted in power loss for the school and approximately 2,000 houses in the local area. There will be some disruption on the roads around the school from next week. You can find out more about this in a message from Mr Pilbury in this week’s edition.
As per normal, this week in school has been busy. We welcomed the parents of students in years 11, 12 and 13 for their Information Evenings. There has also been a number of fixtures across a range of sports and year groups. My personal highlight of the week was meeting students in the Sixth Form who have joined us from other schools in Macclesfield. It was great to speak to students about how they have settled into their new environment and have already made new friends. At the time of writing, I have just finished meeting students who have been nominated for a Headteacher’s Celebration Breakfast. Students had been nominated for a range of reasons including excellent academic achievement, fantastic behaviour and acts of kindness in the local community. This is always one of my favourite parts of the week.
