Headteacher’s Notes 2nd May

Dear Families,
I hope you are well. Thank you for taking some time out of your busy schedules to give us 15 minutes of your time. I hope you enjoy this week’s update on what our students have been up to at Tytherington.
A big well done to many of our Year 11 and Year 13 students who have been involved in their GCSE and A-Level practical exams this week. A number of practical exams have taken place such as Art and Textiles, as well as a number of Modern Foreign Language speaking assessments. These are intense, high-pressure experiences and our students have approached them with real focus and maturity. I have been fortunate enough to see some of the fantastic pieces of practical work which the students have created and I have to say that I am incredibly proud of the beautiful work that has been produced. The practical exam season continues next week with more language oral examinations as well as our GCSE PE moderations. These exams will mean some disruption in terms of room changes and cover lessons so please do bear with us.
