‘No More Knives’ assemblies delivered to Y7-10
We were pleased to welcome The Message Trust into school on Friday to deliver the important and thought-provoking “No More Knives” assemblies about the dangers of knife crime to Years 7-10.
The lessons included music performances, video content, personal stories and presentations showing the realities of knife crime, whilst also informing, equipping and empowering students with the skills and knowledge they need to say “no” to knives and make positive choices!
We had some great feedback received from staff, students and guests who attended:
“The Message Trust’s presentation on knife crime is extremely engaging, hitting the right balance between fun and getting to the very serious subject matter in an accessible way for our young people. Our pupils were engaged and listening throughout the whole session and got a lot out of the hour.”
Cover Supervisor
“Wow. What an interactive experience for our students, great music, amazing way of getting a serious message across on knives at a level that ALL students can engage and understand. Would totally recommend as all kids need the message on ‘No More Knives’.”
Cath Linaker, Senior Head of Year 10 & 11
“Thought provoking and informative to help students make better decisions.”
