Headteacher’s Notes 23rd May

Dear Families,
I hope you’re well and looking forward to a restful half term break. Thank you for taking a few minutes to catch up on the latest news from Tytherington. There’s been a real energy around the school over the past fortnight. We’ve seen the drama studio come alive with auditions for our next school production, Little Shop of Horrors. There was a fantastic atmosphere as students sang, acted, and gave it their all. A huge thank you to everyone who auditioned and to Ms Fellows for leading what promises to be another brilliant show.Last weekend, a number of our students completed their Duke of Edinburgh expedition in Llangollen. It was a challenging couple of days, but they showed great resilience, teamwork and spirit. Thank you to the staff who supported the trip and well done to everyone who took part. Elsewhere in this edition, you’ll find a PE update celebrating the achievements of students representing the school across the North West, as well as the latest list of those nominated for a Headteacher’s Breakfast. Our Year 12 also took part in a Post-18 Preparation Day where they learned about all the opportunities open to them after Tytherington.
