Mr Botwe completes his year as ASCL President
As you will be aware, during the last academic year, Mr Botwe has been the President of ASCL (Association for School and College Leaders) which represents over 25,000 senior leaders across the UK. Throughout the year, Mr Botwe has met a range of major figures in the education world including Bridget Phillipson (Secretary of State for Education) and Sir Martyn Oliver (Chief Inspector of OFSTED). He was also invited to a special reception at Number 10 Downing Street!
Mr Botwe said: “It has been an absolute pleasure to serve as President of ASCL. I have been lucky enough to have played a small role in speaking truth to power! The highlight of my year as President was seeing a group of our Year 10 students addressing an audience of 2,000 in Mandarin as well as seeing our wonderful Jazz Band play at the ASCL National Conference.”
