We were delighted to welcome Pamela Relph (MBE), who is a double Paralympic Champion, 4x World Rowing Champion, World Record holder and remains undefeated in international competition. Pamela spent an hour talking to a group of 50 Year 9 students about how sport enabled her to overcome her disability. The students discovered how her experiences growing up with Psoriatic Arthritis and also as an officer in the army allowed her overcome adversity. Pamela spoke in detail to the students about how the importance of teamwork allowed Team GB to win her numerous gold medals. Pamela also talked about performing under pressure.

The students had the chance to see her gold medals and also ask her questions about her sporting achievements and also her personal story. Pamela’s recent success at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games makes her the most decorated Paralympic rower ever, being the only athlete in the world to have won 2 Paralympic Golds.
