Over the past two weeks, students across Tytherington School have been making poppies in their Art lessons. The school collected hundreds of bottle tops to help produce the poppies. The poppies have been “planted” at the front of the school and will eventually form a field of poppies.

Headteacher, Mr Botwe, said: “This is the brainchild of Mr O’Brien and Mr Graham, Head of Middle School and Art respectively, who wanted to put together a cross-curricular project that helped the whole school to collectively reflect on the sacrifices made so that we can enjoy freedom. On Friday at 11am, the school come together for two minutes of silent commemoration. Our many cadets will also be invited to wear their cadet uniform on Friday. It has been great to see hundreds of students take part in the project.”

Well done to Kealan and Noah who represented us at the Macclesfield Remembrance Service. Thomas represented us at the Bollington Remembrance Service. These took place on Sunday 12th November.
